Speech Language Pathologist

Carlie has worked as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in a variety of settings including: special purpose preschools, elementary school, k-12 day treatment, community preschools and childcare centers, and outpatient clinic settings. She is passionate about collaboration and providing a team approach to help children communicate in their natural environments. Carlie received her bachelor’s degree in psychology and early childhood studies from The College of the Holy Cross and her master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Boston University. She is licensed to practice in Maine and has her ASHA CCCs.

Carlie is particularly passionate about augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and social thinking development. In her free time, Carlie enjoys pottery, gardening, and being outside with her dogs Ruby and Lucy.

Carlie believes that while there are many aspects of Speech Therapy, at the core it is all about a connection and the desire to communicate. She is excited to join your family on the path to supporting your child to be their best communicator. It starts with a hello!

Megan

Occupational Therapist

Megan is an experienced occupational therapist (OT) dedicated to working with children and families to support their development and achieve their goals. Megan is focused on including the child and family in the process of treatment planning and bringing the child’s interests into sessions. She is also team-oriented and emphasizes collaboration with other providers and caregivers to support a cohesive treatment approach. Megan’s experience has spanned across various settings, including serving children in inclusive preschool programs, elementary school, community preschools and childcare centers, private outpatient, and outpatient clinic settings.

Megan is registered with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc (NBCOT) and licensed in Maine. Megan received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Childhood and Adolescence in 2005, and went on to get her master’s degree in occupational therapy from the University of New Hampshire in 2010.

Megan is a parent to two young boys, and understands the complex challenges of parenting, and brings this perspective to her work. In her free time, she enjoys playing with those boys, getting outside, and enjoying time with her family and dog.
